Ecaterina Teodoroiu, (Cătălina Vasile Toderoiu) was born on January 14, 1894 in a large family of peasants, in Vădeni, Târgu-Jiu. He even received the order of a platoon in the 43/59 Infantry Regiment in Lupeni. He became a highly respected, soulful and dedicated command. At the forefront of the soldiers he fell heroically on the evening of August 22, 1917 in the battle of Mărăşeşti. She was shot in the chest, at the forefront. After the war he was declared heroine of Greater Romania.

1950: Traian Vuia died
Born on August 17, 1872, in Surducu Mic, Timiș, Traian Vuia attended for a year the Polytechnic courses in Budapest. Subsequently, he enrolled in law, took his doctorate, and worked for three years in various bars, in Vârșeț and Lugoj.
