He noted that both – both he and President Nawrocki – will be visiting the USA and have talks at their levels: Sikorski on Tuesday will meet with the Secretary of US State Marek Rubio, while President Nawrocki with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that “to facilitate work” to President Nawrocki, the Council of Ministers adopted the position “so that the president knew what to hold on in talks.”
“We care about the most that Mr. President (Karol Nawrocki) tells about the actual goals of Putin in Ukraine and sought a fair peace for Ukraine,” emphasized the Minister of Foreign Affairs. “And secondly, that the President would prevent the reduction of American troops in Europe, in particular in Poland,” he added.
Sikorski also reported that President Nawrocki received “extensive materials” from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “I keep my fingers crossed for the success of talks in Washington,” he said.
