Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Paweł Wroński informed PAP that on Tuesday the head of Polish diplomacy would be in Miami, where he would take part in the Solidarity award ceremony to a representative of the Cuban opposition. The head of Polish diplomacy will give laudation in his honor.

In a statement published on Friday evening, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the prize laureate would be “an outstanding representative of the Cuban opposition, repeatedly persecuted by his beliefs and the struggle for human rights.”
As Wroński told PAP, the head of Polish diplomacy during this visit also plans to meet American politicians, both Republicans and Democrats. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Sikorski will also meet representatives of Cuban emigration and Polonia.
After completing the Sikorski Solidarity award ceremony, it is also to appear on a short briefing for the press. The prize is awarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was established in 2014, but after 2015 its granting was suspended. It has been awarded again from 2024.
