What Zelanski talked about with Kellogg
According to the president, the conversation with Kellogg concerned the last meeting in Washington, where the President of the United States Donald Trump talked with Zelanski and European leaders about the ways of ending the war in Ukraine.
“It was a successful peak, a demonstration of true unity between Europe and America,” Telegram pointed out in the messenger.
Zelanski reported that he discussed the means of pressure on Russia with Kellogg. “Sanctions, duties – all this must remain common. We are ready to talk in the format of leaders. Such a format is necessary to resolve key issues. Now you need similar readiness in Moscow,” he wrote.
Common plans of Ukraine and the USA
The president also informed about the plans of military cooperation with the USA. “For Ukraine and the USA, cooperation in the military sphere is important and there are two strong possibilities – a weapon purchase agreement and a drone agreement that can significantly strengthen our arsenals,” he wrote.
He emphasized that Ukraine intends to maintain the pace of work as part of the PURL mechanism, enabling purchases of American equipment for funds transferred by partners.
Zelanski wrote that in an interview with Kellogg, the issue of Ukrainians, detained in Russia, was also raised, above all children.
“The return of all abducted children – we really hope that America, the president and the first lady of the USA will continue to make personal efforts to regain all children abducted by Russia,” said the President of Ukraine.
Kellogg has been visiting Ukraine since Sunday. He participated, among others in the celebration of the country's independence day at Sofia Square in Kiev.
