The electronic platform for granting the energy ticket is functional / how you can receive the state aid to pay the invoice

Vulnerable consumers can request online, granting the electronic energy ticket, starting on Wednesday, in the Epida.ro epids electronic platform. People who do not have internet access can submit applications in writing to the Home City Hall or post offices, starting August 28, 2025, According to a common statement of the Ministry of Energy and that of Labor.
The ticket has the value of 50 lei/month and can be used exclusively for the payment of electricity invoices, until March 31, 2026. It cannot be alienated.
Of this financial support can benefit:
- single persons with a monthly net income of up to 1,940 lei;
- Families with a monthly net income/member of maximum 1,784 lei.
The beneficiaries of the minimum inclusion income are automatically introduced into the system, with no request required.
How to use energy vouchers
Applicants must have their domicile in Romania or prove the legal residence in the territory of the country.
The applications for the granting of energy vouchers are submitted once. For the invoices related to July and August 2025, they must be registered in the Epids application until September 27, 2025.
How to get the 50 lei voucher from the state to pay the invoice to electricity / eligible consumers
The support is not granted in cash and is not transferred to the bank account. Energy vouchers are valid for a single place of consumption, even if the applicant is not the holder of the supply contract.
At the same time, the payment of electricity invoices is made directly to the post offices, based on the presentation of the invoice and an identity document.
The energy ticket can be used for 12 months from the last loading, and the remaining balance can be used until March 31, 2026.
In case the beneficiary changes his address or changes in the family composition, it is mandatory to submit a new application, either in the EPIDS application, or at the Home City Hall or at the post offices.
