An unemployment for one year, the “Şaurul” in Piatra-Neamț was named at FRF to “develop young players”
Adrian Iencsi, 50, is the new coach of the U20 representative of Romania. He will occupy the place left vacant by Costin Curelea, called the national U21 coach in the first half of July, announces frf.ro.

The former defender with 30 matches at the Romanian senior representative has evolved, throughout his career, at Rapid Bucharest (1997-2004, 2009-2010), a club with which he won two national titles, two cups and two superloaders, but also abroad, at Spartak Moscow, winning a Russia Super Cup.
Withdrawn as a player in 2012, the nickname “Şaurul” from the Rapid period began the activity on the technical bank. He was a trainer in bands such as Corvin Hunedoara, Pandurii Târgu Jiu or Rapid Bucharest.
“My main goal is to contribute to the development of young players and to prepare a competitive generation together, ready to make the step towards the first representative. I am convinced that through work, discipline and team spirit, we will be able to build a strong and united group”, Adrian Iencsi, born in Piatra, told the mentioned source.
He was the last “second” of Rapid, where he left in 2024.
