“If the Government does not give money, we start the work on our co -financing”

Resign with the idea that Austerity measures imposed by the Bolojan government They will block for a long time the start of the works at the new stadium, the Pitesti reconfigures their route. Although dissatisfied that the city remained “cart”, the City Hall takes into account to contribute substantially, from its own funds, to the lifting of the arena in the trivale.
With investments in the sports infrastructure in Romania in “air”, after the Government proposed to massively restrict the expenses and removed the stadiums from the list of national priorities, Pitesti is looking for alternative financing solutions to lift the new FC Argeș house.
Does the City Hall support some of the costs of the new stadium in Pitesti?
In this regard, sources consulted by the Sports Gazette – confirmed by the recent statements offered by Mayor Gentea in the local press – indicates a reposition in relation to the situation of the stadium: at least at the declarative level, There would be availability, at the Local Council level, that part of the expenses should be covered by the municipality.
It would not necessarily be a premiere for a stadium to be built “on the beard” of the municipality. In Timișoara, in parallel with “Dan Păltinișanu”, the City Hall builds an arena of 10,000 places, “Heroes of Timișoara”, which would be ready for the year.
However, there is a major difference between the two species: the new arena in Banat requires an investment of “only” 23 million euros, while the “jewel” in Trivale is designed to cost over € 100.
Meanwhile, the people in the club's entourage seem to have taken the definitive thought from any “gift” received from the Government: “they brought two containers, a patch of beer and they left, nor did someone go here,” the Pitesti was bitter.
Initially, the decision -making factors in the city hope that the Government would make an exception and that Pitesti will eventually be included on the list of approved infrastructure objectives. They were based on the fact that the project received most of the necessary opinions, that the old stadium has already been demolished for over 18 months and that a city with a team in the first league will benefit from priority to the detriment of others.

Cristian Gentea, the mayor of Pitești: “If it is decided that co -financing is needed, we discuss at the level of the Local Council”
The mayor of Dobrin's city addressed the subject in an intervention in the local press:
“There was not yet a decision that it is stopped, that it is suspended until July 1, 2026, that they will co-financing and so on … at least, nobody announced anything official.
And I don't see why it would be a problem with the Pitești stadium, which is the most advanced at the moment. I do not think we are in the situation of Bistrița, Timișoara, Oradea, Brașov or Dinamo. This is not our case. We also gave the building permit, we passed, two weeks ago, and the last CT from CNI and no one announced anything to us.
If you get here – although I do not like the fact that the rules are changing during the game – if a co -financing is required, We see what it is about and we discuss at the level of the Local Council. And I don't see why we couldn't, I also talked to the builder: We start the work immediately on our co -financing.

If the Government does not give money until next summer, the builder works on our money until the amount ends. But I repeat: I wait for something official to appear and I will go to discuss.
Friday morning I talked to the CNI with the director responsible for this project and He told me that, from their point of view, the order of start can be given tomorrow morning, but it's about money. They have no money allocated and did not transmit anything officially ”, explained Mayor Cristian Gentea, according to investigataonline.ro.
The Pitești stadium is good months in stand-by
The contract has a period of implementation of 96 months, of which 7 months for design, 29 months for execution and a period of good execution of the works of 60 months. However, it seems impossible to believe that the stadium will be ready at the deadline initially estimated by the municipality, 2026.
The capacity of the new stadium in Pitești will be 15,200 places. The City Hall announced that the amount allocated for the stadium will be about 100 million eurosa consistent amount for Romanian football. For comparison, 234 million euros were spent for the construction of the national arena.
A year and a half after the full demolition of the old arena, the workers were delayed to appear on the site on “Nicolae Dobrin”, to exasperation of the supporters, outraged that the terms offered by the municipality were not respected.

Deserted instead of the site
Earned by fences under the lock, the place where until yesterday was the stadium was disillusioning, crowded with dry vegetation, garbage and piles of stones and boulders.
“It will be one of the most modern stadiums in Romania, approved UEFA 4, will be able to host even European cups games.
We have stadiums in Romania that have never been filled since they were completed, in which the mayors have committed that they will take the utilities, they did not take them, they took the whole state.
We are in the situation where we do not have enough money to solve our vital problems that we have addressed before, but, of course, we have to do the hyperdimensional and very important stadiums for the local community. It's very good, but it seems to me a fair-play issue. And then I give you an example: we have five stadiums and we introduce a 25%co -financing. What will we have? If we finance four, we have one for free, one extra. We might have a lot more.
