In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, investigators opened a criminal case against the former traffic police inspector Norilsk, who is suspected of receiving bribes.
According to investigators, in July 2022, the man worked as a state -owned inspector of road safety, the REO of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Norilsk. A familiar entrepreneur turned to him for help in the registration of transport.
The Investigative Department of the IC of the Russian Federation explained that the man was engaged in the execution of registration documents and two “problematic” clients turned to him. Their machines had external signs of design changes. This could lead to a refusal to register, and the citizens themselves threatened administrative responsibility.
The entrepreneur, without informing his intentions to customers, asked the policeman to “close his eyes” for violations and register the cars. For this, the inspector received two bribes of 50 and 70 thousand rubles.
The criminal case on two episodes of receiving bribes for committing illegal actions (part 3 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was instituted on the basis of materials presented by the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the ORC of the OSB of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The former policeman was detained, the investigation intends to petition for the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention. As part of the criminal investigation, searches were carried out on the places of residence and work of the accused. The actions of the bribe taker will also be given a proper legal assessment.
