Online vehicle registration: new regulations will simplify the formalities


As indicated in the justification, The draft amendment to the Road Traffic Act prepared by the Ministry of Infrastructure contains solutions that are to simplify vehicle registration procedures. The proposed changes are made by, among others Deregulation postulates of the team led by Rafał Brzoska.
Submission of an application for registration of the vehicle is to be possible online using a service made available by the minister competent for computerization. Thus, the need to collect paper applications by offices will be lifted.
It will also not be necessary to re -legalize the registration plates in the event of submitting an application for the registration of the vehicle together with the application for the current registration number. This means that you will no longer have to disassemble the boards from the vehicle to submit them to the office.

The amendment also proposes to clarify the deadlines provided for submitting the application for the registration of a vehicle imported from abroad, inherited inherited, as well as in the case of a vehicle temporarily withdrawn from traffic. Cases in which the vehicle are obliged to be excluded will also be clarified in the Act. This is to apply to, among others a situation when the vehicle imported from abroad is sold before the end of the statutory deadline for submitting the application.
The planned amendment also provides for expanding the possibility of temporary registration of the vehicle.
