The nurses of the maternity hospital of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky were accused of infection with HIV seven-month-old child. Mother claims – the employees mixed up the bottles and fed the newborn with milk of the infected mother.
The baby was born ahead of schedule, at 32 weeks – she was placed in a special box, fed from the bottle, their mother was not allowed. But even at the time of registration, they warned: the department has mothers with HIV.
This fall, the baby was sent to Moscow for surgery – to remove a benign vascular tumor that she has since birth. In preparation for the trip, it turned out – the baby HIV. Parents are sure: the child was infected in the hospital, because both mom and dad are healthy. Most likely, thereby the same mother’s milk – in a hurry, having confused the bottles, because they were stored in one refrigerator. Now the prosecutor’s office and the Ministry of Health are versed in the case. A criminal case has been opened.
