The discussions for training the future of the government begin. The president meets the party leaders today

Nicuşor Dan has, on Friday, discussions with the leaders of the PSD, PNL, USR and UDMR parties, for the formation of the Government, after having informal consultations with the parties on Wednesday, and on Thursday with the business environment.

“It is a first meeting for the formation of the Government. I said that in parallel we have deficit discussions and discussions in the Government,” Nicuşor Dan told journalists on Friday, according to News.ro.

Asked if functions will be divided on Friday, he replied: “No, by no means.”

“We all agreed that for the discussions in the Government, in order not to exist or to be as few discussions later, it must be an agreement that is as complete as possible. So it is a first discussion, it will probably be a few, in which we will like to work, in what way the governance agreement is written, in parallel the government program, so it is the first discussion.”

Nicuşor Dan does not yet know if any tax increase will be needed. “Absolutely everyone agrees that work taxation does not have to increase. I still think it is not good to increase taxes. What will happen will result from negotiations,” the president said.

The president hopes that in “two weeks, three weeks” will be formed the new government.
