Răzvan Burleanu, the president of the Romanian Football Federation, discussed on the constant critics of Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, brought on his own person, but also of the FRF, trying to offer a justification for them. At the same time, he confessed that the relationship at the institutional and sports level is an excellent one between the club and the governing forum, a fact provided by Valeriu Argăseală, the president of the red-blue, and Mihai Stoica, the chairman of the Board of Directors.
He noted that, although Gigi Becali has a combative style, in reality he appreciates the activity of the Romanian Football Federation. The FRF president stressed that FCSB has become an example of a club that invests smart in its own academy, which is highlighted by the performance at the youth level and the constant presence of its players in the national junior and senior groups.

Răzvan Burleanu: “Gigi Becali is delighted by the way the Federation is governed”
“Certainly FCSB has won this champion on merit as the previous. Gigi Becali I think he just likes to be that way, Gică Contra. Otherwise, I think Mr. Becali really appreciates the Romanian Football Federation. I think he is delighted by the way the federation is governed today, because we managed to determine him in his own academy.
FCSB won the youth league this year and has become one of the clubs that provide players to each national junior batch. We are not just talking about U20, U21 and the first representative. At the end of the day, this translates into transfer amounts, which, of course, does not enter the FRF budget.
I don't understand where this permanent challenge comes from. I believe that our institutional relationship is a very good one, a relationship that was facilitated by Mr. Argăseală and, at the sporting level, by Mr. Stoica ”, said Răzvan Burleanu for Fanatik.
“Let me tell you why they did so with the 5+6 rule. Because it was law, Minister Novak then made a law. Another is to make a law to play with players and, if not, pay a fine or not receive money, another is to be obliged. There is a difference between forcing someone and penalizing yourself if you do not. Here they respected the law and the Constitution. When you say that you are obliged to put an U21 player, the Constitution is violated ”, was one of the last criticisms of the owners of Bucharest at the FRF, in relation to the obligation of the U21 rule.
