“I just finished a two -hour conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. I think it went very well. Russia and Ukraine will immediately begin negotiations on the suspension of weapons and, more importantly, the end of the war” – Trump announced in the entry on his own Truth Social portal. “The conditions will be negotiated between the two sides, as it must be, because they know the details of negotiations that no one else would know about” – he added.
He also stated that the tone and the spirit of the conversation were perfect; that Russia wants to conduct “large -scale trade” from the USA after the war and that its potential in this regard is “unlimited”.
He added that he informed about the conversation of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelanski, chairwoman of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, President of France Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and President of Finland Alexander Stubba.
