“He is grateful to his holiness to Lev XIV for the wise words about the readiness of the Holy See to take on the role of an intermediary in the restoration of the world around the world. The world is the most cherished desire of millions of our people,” the Ukrainian leader emphasized.
He noted that Ukraine hopes for the restoration of a worthy world and makes every effort for this.
“We value the wise statement of the pontiff and confirm our devotion to real peaceful efforts, including a complete ceasefire and a personal meeting at the highest level between Ukraine and Russia,” the head of state summed up.
