Managed by Luis Enrique, PSG triumphed 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Senny Mayulu and Mika Godts, which lifted them to first place in Ligue 1.

PSG Breaks the Deadlock in the 72nd Minute

The first half was tightly contested, featuring few scoring chances. PSG had the upper hand but struggled to penetrate Lyon’s defense, which had been the most solid in the league prior to this match.

The best opportunity for PSG came in the 22nd minute when Joao Neves seized the ball in the opponent’s box and passed to Ferran Torres, who had his angled shot saved by goalkeeper Dominik Greif.

Lyon responded seven minutes later with a collective attack. Noamah advanced on the right, Merah cleverly let the ball pass, but Duranville, in a prime shooting position, misfired directly at Safonov. The halftime score remained 0-0.

After the break, the tempo of the match increased. Fabian Ruiz made a crucial intervention following a corner, preventing Lyon from scoring, while PSG’s Desire Doue missed a significant opportunity.

Enrique’s substitutions proved to be pivotal in the game’s outcome.

Just before the final whistle, in the 84th minute, Ndjantou initiated a counterattack and found Mika Godts, who advanced and scored with a placed shot, finalizing the score at 2-0.
