Alfa Romeo Unveils Cuorerosso Concept at Paris Auto Show 2026

The Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso concept made its global debut at the 2026 Paris Auto Show, merging traditional Italian sports design with cutting-edge technology, providing a glimpse into the brand’s future automotive direction, particularly in electrification.
The Cuorerosso embodies Alfa Romeo’s developmental vision for coming years, emphasizing three core elements: the iconic red color, sportiness, and the legacy of Italian design.
Rather than being presented as an upcoming production model, Cuorerosso serves as a concept, illustrating how design, technology, and driving experiences may evolve within the Alfa Romeo lineup.
Sporty Design Inspired by Italian Tradition
This four-seat coupé, configured as a 2+2, blends Gran Turismo lines with supercar proportions. Measuring 4.7 meters in length and nearly 2 meters in width, its height is only 1.33 meters.
As per the manufacturer’s description, the design is characterized by fluid surfaces, a low silhouette, and distinctive brand elements, including the shield-shaped front grille and uniquely styled headlights.
The rear features a sleek aerodynamic profile known as “Coda Tronca,” which draws from Alfa Romeo’s rich heritage.
According to the manufacturer, the design elements contribute to an impressive aerodynamic coefficient of 0.28. Notable technical features include a pneumatic suspension and a Brembo braking system equipped with carbon-ceramic discs.
An Interior Designed for the Driver
The interior carries forward the minimalist philosophy of the exterior. Four individual seats, an elongated center console, and seamlessly integrated controls are crafted to center the driver’s experience.
The dashboard design takes inspiration from the iconic Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale of 1967 and its modern reinterpretation.
The concept also features an innovative command system that merges tactile surfaces with physical buttons and selectors, allowing for direct interaction without distracting from the driving experience.
Red as a Central Element of Cuorerosso’s Identity
The color red plays a vital role in the concept’s design. The exterior shade, named “Liquid Ink Red,” combines metallic reflections with effects that alter the car’s appearance depending on lighting and viewing angles.
Inside, red creates an enveloping atmosphere, enhanced by metallic accents and next-generation materials, including regenerated leather made from 60% post-industrial waste derived from processing premium upholstery.
Alfa Romeo is preparing a diverse range of propulsion types, including fully electric systems alongside plug-in hybrids, mild-hybrids, and full-hybrids.
The manufacturer states that future models will target significant market segments and can be as long as 4.7 meters, with some potentially available in sporty Quadrifoglio versions.
For a possible performance configuration, Alfa Romeo hints at a hybrid system combining a 2.9-liter V6 engine with Q4 all-wheel drive. However, this remains a technical possibility within the context of the concept rather than a confirmed specification for a production model.
