In a significant escalation, Russian forces have reportedly launched a missile strike on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, using six ballistic missiles targeting multiple districts. The Ukrainian military confirmed that radar systems detected the ballistic targets during the assault on the city. In addition to the Kyiv attack, Kharkiv also faced aggression with the use of nine loitering munitions identified as S-8000 “Banderole”. The full scale and implications of these attacks are still being assessed.
