“There was an improvement in off-the-ball reactions, showcasing an aggressive team. FCSB displayed superior energy when losing possession and maintained discipline throughout the match.
On the offensive end, Reghecampf made astute tactical decisions. Regarding the substitution (Stoian replacing Garita), I expected a different approach, perhaps keeping Garita and bringing Stoian in a more advanced position, while sacrificing a midfielder.
This result is positive; it is a well-deserved victory. Rici Pădurariu and Crețu performed excellently, as did the central defenders. However, the team struggled on the flanks, with both Miculescu and Korenica being less impactful. Cisotti had a commendable evening. Overall, I was pleased with the team’s attitude.
Gradually, we expect to see more consistency in the offensive phase. Reghecampf requires time. There were several positive aspects in FCSB’s play,” stated Ilie Dumitrescu, as reported by digisport.ro.
“The only player who was absent and delivered a good performance was Rici Pădurariu, who had an excellent game. We should have concluded the match much earlier, needing better passing and more courage. However, the pressure from negative results is still felt, and we will need to work on that. I want to speak with the players about the need to adapt based on opponents. In football, there is no time; we must win, we have the pressure of points, and every match is crucial. We need to prepare for the next week and secure another three points. There are many issues to address, but we will tackle them step by step. I want a team that is more aggressive and reactive, playing at a much higher pace and being aware of space. I believe we still need to work on these aspects,” said Laurențiu Reghecampf, the FCSB coach.
