Reghecampf Expresses Desire to Sign Nicolae Stanciu for FCSB

Laurențiu Reghecampf, the head coach of FCSB, addressed the situation surrounding Romanian international Nicolae Stanciu during a press conference ahead of the match against Oțelul Galați.
The match between FCSB and Oțelul Galați, part of the Superligă, is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at 20:30 at the Arena Națională.
While reports suggest a strong agreement between Nicolae Stanciu and Universitatea Cluj regarding his next move, Reghecampf still hopes FCSB officials can persuade the player to return this winter should he leave China.
Laurențiu Reghecampf: “No One Would Reject Stanciu’s Return”
Reghecampf remains optimistic about Stanciu’s potential return to FCSB, stating, “From my perspective, I would have brought him back yesterday. I don’t believe anyone in our staff would say no to Nicușor’s return.
“Currently, he is under contract, so it is not appropriate to discuss this matter. His contract runs until the end of December. We hope that he and his family wish to return to Bucharest. We welcome him with open arms,” Reghecampf added.
Stanciu began his football career in Alba Iulia and was signed by FC Vaslui in 2011. He joined FCSB in 2013, where he played for three years. Since the summer of 2016, he has played for clubs such as Anderlecht, Sparta Prague, Al Ahli, Slavia Prague, Wuhan Three Towns, Damac, Genoa, and Dalian Yingbo.
During his time at FCSB, Stanciu made 136 appearances, scoring 33 goals and providing 24 assists. He won two league titles, two League Cups, one Cup, and one Supercup with the red and blue team.
While at the national team camp, Stanciu discussed his future, stating that his first choice is not FCSB or U Cluj, but rather Dalian Yingbo, the Chinese team he currently plays for.
“Out of respect for the club I am at and how well they treat me, I still have a contract until December 31 there, and I cannot discuss or provide details. The people there treat me incredibly well, and they have the first option.” – Nicolae Stanciu, prior to the match between Romania and Bosnia.
