Piotr Puchalski Named New CEO of Polish Payment Standard Blik

Piotr Puchalski has been appointed as the new CEO of the Polish Payment Standard (Blik).
Puchalski will officially assume the role in January 2027, taking over from Dariusz Mazurkiewicz, who has led the company since June 2017.
The supervisory board of the Polish Payment Standard has confirmed Puchalski’s appointment as the company’s CEO.
The company plans to expand its services, strengthen collaborations with banks and partners, and enhance Blik’s presence in the European payment market.
Who is Piotr Puchalski?
According to information provided by the Polish Payment Standard, Piotr Puchalski is a manager with over 20 years of experience in the financial and payment sectors.
Currently, he serves as the managing director of retail and business banking at BNP Paribas, where he is responsible for business growth and enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Puchalski previously spent 16 years at mBank and has also served as the chairman of the supervisory board of the Polish Payment Standard (Blik).
Throughout his career, he has focused on growth initiatives in retail banking, the development of payment innovations and e-commerce, and achieving high Net Promoter Scores (NPS), gaining experience in both the Polish and international markets. He holds a degree from the University of Łódź and completed the Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School in Barcelona.
