Ukraine Faces Increased Risk of Russian Airstrikes on Odesa
Ukrainian city Odesa could experience 10 to 30 daily airstrikes from Russia unless Ukraine swiftly tackles the issue of Russian aviation presence in the Black Sea, according to military and political analyst Oleksandr Kovalenko. He noted that conventional air defense systems are ineffective against KAB bombs. These munitions can be suppressed through electronic warfare, redirected, or forced to crash elsewhere; however, they still pose a significant danger to residential buildings and other structures. Currently, Russia launches between 250 and 300 KAB bombs on Ukraine each day.
