Russian UAVs Match Cruise Missiles in Threat Level, Expert Says
According to military analyst Alexander Kovalenko from the Information Resistance group, Russian jet-powered drones are as dangerous as subsonic cruise missiles. He noted that Russia produces between 700 and 800 such drones each month and is working to scale up production. Kovalenko highlighted that when including the Shahed-136 drones, the monthly output reaches approximately 6,000 to 7,000 units. Furthermore, modifications are being made to the Shahed drones utilizing Chinese jet engines. Recently, these jet-powered UAVs have been deployed to western Ukraine to conduct reconnaissance missions.
