How much money Apple earns from commissions taken from App Store apps / the amount has reached a record level

Apple has grown to over $ 10 billion per year only in the United States by commissions received from transactions made by applications available in the official store. Globally, they are almost three times higher, notes News.ro.

According to an estimation made by Appfigures for the United States, in 2024, Apple's commissions have brought to the US giant $ 10.1 billion, by far the largest amount so far.

The revenues from the commissions made by Apple have grown constantly in recent years. In 2020, they brought to the company $ 4.6 billion, increasing $ 6.6 billion in 2021, in 2022 to $ 7.3 billion and in 2023 to $ 8.7 billion.

The amounts take into account both applications and games, available in the United States, which have sale prices and / or microtransacs from which Apple stops commission.

Of the over $ 10 billion gets Apple from commissions last year, $ 3.8 billion came from games and $ 6.2 billion from applications.

Apple does not make these figures public. The last official reference of the company said that in 2022 he had won $ 104 billion globally from the billing of digital goods and third services.

Appfigures estimates claim that, globally, the App Store would have brought revenues of $ 91.3 billion annually, of which $ 27.39 billion coming from commissions.
