Shooting Incident in Uzhhorod Sparks Fire and Police Operation

A shooting incident in Uzhhorod, Ukraine, triggered a fire that spread to a nearby forested area. Preliminary reports indicate that a stray bullet struck an abandoned building, igniting the blaze.
Around 6:30 PM, several children alerted authorities, claiming they heard gunshots coming from the woods on Oleg Kutsyn Street and reported seeing a suspicious man in the vicinity.
Upon arrival, police officers investigating the area reported hearing additional gunfire. The suspect fled the scene, prompting the deployment of extra police forces, including members of the special unit KORD, to assist in the search and apprehension.
By 8:29 PM, police announced the conclusion of the operation, having arrested the alleged shooter and confiscated a combat pistol in the process. Investigations are ongoing at the site.
