In response to successful attacks by Ukraine, Russia has suspended shipping operations on the Don-Azov Canal, which connects the Don River to the Sea of Azov. Furthermore, Russia has halted the acceptance of applications for passage through the Kerch Strait, linking the Sea of Azov to the Black Sea. Market analysts estimate that approximately a quarter of Russia’s wheat exports transit through the Sea of Azov.
