The recent increase in railway tariffs by UZ is expected to severely affect frontline regions, according to the Agrarian Business Club. The Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UКAB) has also warned that the new rise in railway logistics costs will make road transport competitive within 400 kilometers of ports, hastening the shift of freight from rail to road transport. UZ is urged to optimize its expenses and eliminate the practice of cross-subsidizing passenger services at the expense of freight operations.
