It's the last World Cup for Messi and Ronaldo! The jerseys of soccer legends, up for auction at Artmark
At the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, A10 Auction House by Artmark brings the history of world football to Bucharest, in a special event, at the Cesianu-Racoviță Palace. T-shirts signed by Lionel Messifrom the time he played for the Argentine national team, and Cristiano Ronaldoworn for the Portuguese national team, are being auctioned for supporting the establishment of the first Sports History Museum in Prahova County.
For millions of fans, the current World Cup represents the last appearance at this level of the two titans who have dominated world football for almost two decades. Thus, the objects associated with their names – the shirt with number 7 of the national team of Portugal and jersey number 10 of the Argentina national team (both framed and with the autographs of the holders) – acquires an ever-increasing historical and sentimental value, surpassing the status of a simple sports souvenir.
The auction also includes lots dedicated to the great performances of Romanian football, reminding of Romania's memorable participation in FIFA and the generations that brought the national team to the elite of international football. From his generation George Hagi and historical performance from World Cup 1994up to other emblematic names of Romanian footballthe proposed selection brings together essential landmarks of the national sports memory.
Through the charitable component dedicated to raising funds for the establishment of the first Sports History Museum in Prahova County, the Artmark event aims to preserve and capitalize on the Romanian sports heritageso that the performances of the great champions can also be known to future generations.
“FIFA World Cup Memorabilia” Exhibition is available at Palatul Cesianu-Racoviță until the date of the Artmark Sports Auction, June 19 (12:00 p.m.). As usual for all the house's exhibitions, admission is free, daily (Monday to Sunday) from 10:00 to 20:00.
