The mandate of Alvaro Arbeloa (43 years old) on the bench of Real Madrid has come to an end. The Spanish giants have officially announced their parting ways with the Spanish technician, who is now free to look for a new commitment.
Real Madrid published a statement thanking the former coach for his work at the club.
Arbeloa had taken over the team after the departure of Xabi Alonso, but the results and the atmosphere in the dressing room were far from expectations.

Arbeloa's future is unknown at this time. The former defender played for Real Madrid, Liverpool, West Ham and Deportivo La Coruna throughout his career.

Instead, the main favorite to take over the technical bench is Jose Mourinho (63 years old). The Portuguese previously coached Real Madrid from 2010-2013 and will return to the Santiago Bernabeu after more than a decade.
