Toxic metals including lead and uranium accumulate in teen vapers' bodies — scientific journal Tobacco Control
Scientists found that young people aged 13 to 17 who vaped at least eight times a day had 30% more lead and 50% more uranium in their bodies compared to their peers who did not smoke.
Biomarkers of uranium were highest in adolescents who preferred sweet flavors of smoking mixtures rather than menthol.
The study authors warn:

The sweet taste of e-cigarettes can suppress the harsh and potent effects of nicotine, resulting in a more powerful brain response.
