FCSB – Unirea Slobozia 0-0. Lucian Filip (35 years old), the interim coach from FCSB, drew the conclusions at the press conference after his team made a “white draw” with Slobozia in the epilogue of the 8th round of the play-out. He talked about the pressure that exists from the boss and about the coaches who would like to come to the team when the position remains vacant.
The interim coach of the red-blue formation also spoke about the situation of the goalkeeper Matei Popa, who came out shaken before the break, having problems after the phase in which Albu had opened the scoring, a success later canceled by VAR.
Even though he knows that his days in office are numbered, until the boss appoints a new head coach, Filip declares himself body and soul for the team and even announces that he will have a discussion with the future A1, to give him tips from the team.
Lucian Filip's reaction, after the draw with Unirea Slobozia: “No coach or player is kept here by force”
“In many moments, the game was difficult to watch. Due to a lack of communication and milestones, we did not play what we would have liked today. At a club like FCSB we have valuable players on the bench. It is normal to give chances to other players. Today's points do not help us much, we are waiting for the play-off match and it is natural to give minutes to the others as well.
As we showed today, it is clear that the fans are a little pessimistic, but there will be a different load in the play-off matches. We will meet a team with a different style of play. From the information I have, Matei Popa is fine, it's not as serious as we expected.
Being involved and emotional, I tried to take some of the pressure off the players. I don't know if I will give advice to the new coach, but rather information. I prefer to tell them in private.
When you're here, you also take on what the boss says. Every club has its own policy, I wouldn't want to say if it's normal or not. No coach or player is kept here by force. Anyone who doesn't like it is free to leave.
Apparently there are a lot of coaches who want to come. Maybe some say on TV that they wouldn't accept or that they wouldn't come, but when a place becomes available, the list gets longer and longer.
Now I only think about the good of the team. I'm not thinking about another club and I don't have to. The club is suffering during this period, we have to admit it, and as far as I'm concerned I want to help the players”, said Lucian Filip, after the match, at the press conference.
