Rescuers rescued from the rubble 15 residents of a five-story building in Nizhny Tagil, in which a gas explosion occurred yesterday morning. Some spent more than 12 hours without food or water under concrete slabs.
Some of them: 56-year-old Tatyana, 14-year-old Anya and 16-year-old Polina. They and other residents of the collapsed entrances were provided with first medical and psychological assistance on the spot. Another 60 turned to Emergency Situations Ministry specialists for it by phone.
At the moment, four people are known to have died – the last one was discovered at 3:47 a.m. Moscow time. In total, 550 specialists and 74 pieces of equipment were involved in the search and rescue operation. Dog handlers continue to work at the scene of the tragedy.
UPD. The number of victims has increased to 20. Nine of them are children.
