The head of the Patriot park, Vyacheslav Akhmedov, was detained by security forces two weeks after searches in connection with the theft of at least 40 million rubles. Also arrested was the head of the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Vladimir Shesterov.
On July 23, several SK vehicles arrived at the military-patriotic park of culture and recreation. Several boxes of documentation were taken out of the administrative building and Akhmedov was interrogated. As well as several other employees, including an accountant.
Presumably, the work of the special group is connected with the case of ex-Deputy Minister of Defense Timur Ivanov. He was one of those who oversaw the construction of the park.
