Ponar Wadowice, operating in the area of advanced dual-use power hydraulics, and the Demarko company from Bytom, manufacturer of, among others, specialized semi-trailers and trailers, concluded a cooperation agreement for the defense and industrial sectors.
Ponar said that the cooperation will include the supply of hydraulic components and the provision of power hydraulics services by the Wadowice-based company for specialized semi-trailers and truck bodies manufactured in Demarko production plants. In turn, the company from Bytom declared “support in the implementation of deliveries as well as the assembly of complex welded structures for Ponar.”
The agreement also assumes the exchange of technological ideas and joint activities for modern solutions for the arms sector.
According to the president of Ponar Wadowice, Marek Warzecha, long-term cooperation and strategic partnership of the companies will enable the implementation of increasingly advanced projects within European supply chains.
“Together with Demarko, we focus on implementing comprehensive production and research and development projects for the defense sector, which opens up new prospects for us in international tenders and constitutes the foundation of our strategy,” he noted.
Marek Warzecha added that the companies will try to obtain contracts together. He pointed out that the most realistic option at the moment is to support the Jelcz company that produces vehicles for the army. The demand significantly exceeds the production capacity of this factory. “We applied separately, but if Jelcz takes up the offer, we will definitely implement this project together,” said the president of Ponar.
