According to the Iranian press, representatives of this country will sit down for talks if Washington accepts Tehran's “preconditions”. It is not explained what exactly this is about.

As Reuters writes, the Iranian delegation includes high-ranking political, military and economic officials, including Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi, Secretary of the Defense Council, the governor of the central bank and several members of parliament, including its chairman Mohammad Bager Ghalibaf.

The American delegation will be led by US Vice President JD Vance, and next to him will be Special Envoy for Peacekeeping Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

The Iranian authorities have previously claimed that before starting talks with the US, they demand a ceasefire in Lebanon and the unfreezing of Iranian assets.
