Mircea Lucescu was buried at Bellu Cemetery today, April 10, 3 days after he passed away at the age of 80. The funeral service took place at the church of Saint Eleftherie, and the images are overwhelming.
From the images published by basilica.ro, it can be seen that apart from Răzvan Lucescu, George Copos, former owner of Rapid, from which he won the title of national champion alongside Mircea Lucescu in 1999, and Răzvan Burleanu, the president of the last employer in the senior Lucescu's life, the Romanian Football Federation, also took the floor.

Present in the church, former footballer Marius Niculae revealed the main idea of Răzvan Lucescu's speech: “He couldn't control his emotions, but in the end he said he hoped that his father, from up there, would be satisfied with what he had achieved.”
“Il Luce” was introduced into the place of worship on a carpet of flowers, followed by family members. The funeral service lasted about an hour and a half.
It was officiated by the Most Reverend Father Timotei Prahoveanul, Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.
Later, Mircea Lucescu was led on his last journey by his family and relatives and buried with military honors.
The military brass band played the Romanian national anthem, and the National Guard fired more cannon volleys.

He won 36 trophies in his career as a technician: 9 times the championship of Ukraine, 8 times the Ukrainian Cup, 7 times the Ukrainian Supercup, 3 times the Romanian Cup, 2 times the Romanian championship, 2 times the Turkish championship, as well as the UEFA Cup, the European Super Cup, the Russian Super Cup and the Anglo-Italian Cup.
