In Krasnoyarsk, a park will be built on the site of demolished dilapidated houses for 34 million

April 3 19:00

In the Zheleznodorozhny district of Krasnoyarsk, a park with an area of more than 7 thousand square meters will be built for 34 million rubles. The mayor's office said that it will appear on the site of demolished dilapidated houses on Lomonosov Street.

The concept of the space was discussed today, April 3, with local residents. The head of the district administration, Evgeny Syomkin, met with the initiative group and showed the design project. The park will have pedestrian paths, a quiet recreation area, a children's playground and sports grounds, as well as a space for walking dogs. The latter option caused controversy, but residents ultimately supported the idea.

“At first we were against the walking area. We talked to our neighbors and it turned out that we have so many pets. The owners are decent, they want to work with their dogs and train them. “In the end, we came to an agreement,” said Valentina Dudareva, a resident of house No. 102 on Lomonosov Street.

The improvement will take place within the framework of the regional program “Formation of a comfortable urban environment” of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”, initiated by the President of Russia. 17,633 people voted for the improvement of the square.

Trees and shrubs will be planted on the territory of the new public space, and flower beds will be created. Street lighting and CCTV cameras will be installed in the park, and the driveways adjacent to the recreation area will be repaired.

“When there was voting for our property, we involved all the residents: we sent links to relatives, friends, and acquaintances. Our object won. This suggests that residents care about the future of our area, and together we can help create another place for recreation,” said Evgenia Isaeva, Chairman of the Council of House No. 102 on Lomonosov Street.

The contractor is already known – this is Megapolis LLC. Last year the company worked at other facilities in the Zheleznodorozhny district. The debris has already been removed from the site, and workers will soon begin planning the site. The improvement is planned to be completed in August.

“We tried to take into account the wishes of the townspeople. During the improvement, we will focus on the convenience of all categories of residents. Workers will lay tactile tiles near the road and lower the curbs so that it will be easy to move around in wheelchairs,” summed up Evgeniy Semkin.
