Iran's massive missile attack ahead of Passover

On Wednesday, Iran launched the largest missile attack on Israel since the beginning of the war, reports the Times of Israel newspaper citing the army, shortly before the beginning of the Jewish Passover, DPA and AFP report, quoted by Agerpres.
Eyewitnesses claim that six rocket alerts sounded within an hour in the Tel Aviv area alone.
About ten ballistic missiles were fired into central Israel, the newspaper added. Most were intercepted by air defenses, while some were left to hit empty ground.
By close to midnight, the number of missiles fired at Israel by Iran had reached about 20.
14 people were injured in Bnei Brak, near Tel Aviv, including an 11-year-old girl who was hospitalized in serious condition.
Attacks on Israel have also been launched from Lebanon by the pro-Iranian Shia militia Hezbollah. One of these attacks targeted Kiriat Shmona, in northern Israel, where five people were injured.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced that it had launched strikes on dozens of “terrorist targets” in central Tehran.
The Jewish Passover week begins on Wednesday evening, being a time when Jews commemorate the exodus from Egypt and freedom from slavery.
According to Iranian media reports, the US and Israel launched airstrikes during the Persian New Year, or Nowruz, celebration on March 20.
