The Romanian U17 national team plays tonight, from 19:00, against the Italian U17 national team for a double stake: a place in the European Championship and a place in the World Championship. Romania U17 reached the decisive round for EURO 2026 after finishing second in a group with France (1-1), Israel (1-1) and Azerbaijan (5-1) in the fall.
In the main group, Romania U17 achieved a clear victory in the first match of the group against Iceland, 5-2, and then won in against the similar Portuguese national team, score 1-0.
The U17 European Championship will take place in Estonia, between May 25 and June 7.
