The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region said that in February the police department received a report from a man about the loss of jewelry worth 150 thousand rubles from his apartment.
Law enforcement officers identified the suspect. She turned out to be a resident of the Emelyanovsky district. It turned out that the woman and the victim had previously known each other. She arrived at his apartment and found that the door was unlocked and there were no occupants. The intruder secretly entered the house and took a ring and a gold chain with a cross.

“The attacker told the police that she was afraid that someone might steal these jewelry, and took them for safekeeping. But she didn’t consider it necessary to warn her friend. Thanks to the actions of the police officers, the jewelry was confiscated and returned to its rightful owner,” the regional police clarified.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated and investigated under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The investigation has now been completed and the case materials will be submitted to the court for a decision. The woman faces up to 6 years in prison.
