Peace talks with Russia. Volodymyr Zelensky spoke out


— We have received signals from the US indicating its readiness to continue work within existing negotiation formats to put an end to Russia's war with Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social media on Thursday.

The leader stated that “the Ukrainian team, members of the political negotiating group, are already on their way and we expect a meeting next Saturday.” — Our priority is to make every effort to create conditions for a dignified peace, said Volodymyr Zelensky.

He also explained that the details of the talks were discussed with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, the head of the Chancellery of the President, Kirill Budanov, and the head of the Servant of the People party, David Arachamia. — Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Serhiy Kyslytsia, will also take part in the meetings, he added.

The next round of negotiations is scheduled to take place on Saturday in the USA. Volodymyr Zelensky previously told the European Council that it is up to Western countries to make sure that the Russians do not come with the feeling that their negotiating position has been strengthened. He also emphasized that it is extremely important for Ukraine to unblock EU support.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier told Russian media that trilateral peace talks between the US, Russia and Ukraine had been suspended.
