Actor Sean Penn went all the way to the front line in Ukraine. The message sent to the soldiers – VIDEO

The American actor Sean Penn, who is visiting Ukraine, went near the front line in the eastern Donetsk region and met with soldiers and a former presidential official, according to images published by a Ukrainian brigade, the France Presse agency reports on Wednesday, quoted by Agerpres.
On its Telegram channel, the 157th Mechanized Brigade said Sean Penn expressed his “sincere support” and “gratitude” to the soldiers he met.
The Ukrainian brigade published photos showing, among others, Sean Penn standing in front of an entrance to the city of Sloviansk, located about 20 kilometers from the front line.
Another photo shows the actor standing next to Andriy Yermak, an influential former adviser to the Ukrainian presidency, who resigned in November following a corruption scandal.

Earlier on Wednesday, Brigade 157 released a video of Sean Penn, recorded before his arrival in Ukraine, in which he reads a message at the request of his friend Andriy Yermak. In it, the actor pays tribute to several soldiers of the brigade who are fighting on the front line and states that it is Washington's sacred duty to support Ukraine.
“You represent the best in us and the courage we can only dream of,” he says, addressing the brigade's soldiers and assuring them that, in his opinion, “the majority of people” in the United States are with Ukraine.
A declared supporter of Kiev in the face of the Russian invasion, 65-year-old Sean Penn handed President Volodymyr Zelensky one of the two Oscars he received in 2022. On Sunday, he won a third award, for best supporting actor, for playing a zealous officer in “One Battle After Another,” but missed the awards ceremony in Los Angeles to return to Ukraine.
