Russia and China provide Iran with assistance in various forms, including military support, admitted Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi in an interview for the American TV channel MS NOW.

Aragchi called Russia and China strategic partners of Iran and said his country was receiving aid from the two American adversaries, but declined to provide details. “This includes military cooperation,” he said only, explaining that he would not go into details “for the good of cooperation with these countries.”
In Saturday's interview, he also defended Iran's attacks on Persian Gulf countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, which accuse Tehran of firing missiles at areas that have nothing to do with military installations.
He specifically accused the United Arab Emirates of allowing the United States to launch attacks on Iran from Dubai, Ras al-Khaimah and other densely populated areas.
“It is clear that they (missiles and drones) are being launched from the UAE,” he said, adding that it was “dangerous” to “use densely populated areas to launch, you know, missiles against us.”
The head of Iranian diplomacy also announced that his country will continue to block the Strait of Hormuz, which has already resulted in a significant increase in oil and fuel prices at gas stations.
Iran and Russia have strengthened ties over the past decade. Tehran provides Moscow with its Shahed drones, which it uses in the war against Ukraine.
In 2021, Iran also signed a 25-year economic cooperation agreement with Beijing, which focuses on supplying Iranian crude oil to China. Its supplies have not been interrupted by the war between the US and Israel against Iran, which has been ongoing since February 28. (PAP)
