Accident at the Europa Bridge, at the entrance to Bucharest. A woman died, several people were injured / Traffic restricted

A traffic accident, in which four cars were involved, occurred on Friday afternoon in the Pod Europa area, on the way to the entrance to the City of Bucharest, the Road Brigade announces. As a result of the accident, one woman died and other people are being treated at the scene.

The accident happened around 1:20 p.m.

“The traffic policemen who arrived at the scene found that what was reported was confirmed, as it was a traffic accident, in which four vehicles were involved,” the Capital's Road Brigade reported.

According to police, a 52-year-old woman has died, and at this time, several people are receiving medical attention at the scene.

“The number of people who will be transported to the hospital for the provision of medical care is to be determined. Following the traffic accident, the first aid crews arrived at the address intervened to save a 52-year-old female passenger, they applied resuscitation maneuvers on her, but unfortunately, the doctors declared her dead,” the Road Brigade also reported.

All drivers were tested with the Alcooltest device, the indicated results being “zero”.

Following the accident, the police completely restricted traffic on the direction of entry into Bucharest, from Afumați, with road traffic being diverted to other entrances to the Capital.

Next, the policemen of the Road Brigade carry out investigations in order to establish exactly the causes and circumstances in which the road accident occurred.
