2-2 in Benfica – Porto and Jose Mourinho's side missed a good chance to re-enter the title race. The visitors led 2-0 at half-time, but the team from the Portuguese capital had the strength to come back in the second half. One of the goals is going around the football world.

The 25th stage of the Portugal League scheduled a crucial match in the title fight. With a win, Benfica, occupying the 3rd place, would have moved to within 4 points of the leader FC Porto and within one point of Sporting CP. On the other hand, if they had won, FC Porto would have left Benfica 10 points behind. With only 9 legs remaining, it would probably have been game over for Jose Mourinho and his players.

It looked like we were heading for that scenario with FC Porto leading 2-0 at half-time, but the hosts staged an incredible comeback.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Froholdt beat Trubin on the second try. On a quick transition, the Dane was left alone with the Benfica goalkeeper, he shot badly in the first attempt, but he was lucky that the ball came back to him.

The 17-year-old kid HUMILIATED Otamendi in Benfica – Porto!

Benfica had a few good chances to equalize, but the visitors did as well. In the 40th minute, Porto caught the opposing defense uncovered, with all players moving up to a fixed phase, and the Pole Oskar Pietuszewski it was launched in the opposing half.

Except for Trubin, the young man only 17 years old he had only one opponent on the way to the goal, the experienced Nicolas Otamendi.

Pietuszewski feigned going to the outside, at which point he turned the ball à la Cristiano Ronaldo, with his heelleaving Otamendi in an awkward position. He then shot with his left foot to make it 0-2 in the 40th minute. The buzz is already doing the rounds on the internet.

Porto could go in with a 3-goal advantage at the break, but Trubin miraculously saved Gabriel Veiga's free kick in the 45+2 minute.

Benfica equalized in the second half

Porto held a two-goal lead until the 69th minute when Schjelderup brought Benfica back into the game. He scored from a few yards after Lukebakio had hit the bar.

The equalizer came in the 88th minute, when Barreiro resumed from Ivanovic's first cross.

Points shared, and Porto remains 7 points ahead of Sunday night's opponent.
