The co-founder of Przedsiębiorstwo Produkcji Lodów Koral passed away at the age of 74. As reported by Staro Sądeckie.info, Marian Koral died in the morning surrounded by his loved ones. The company, which is well known throughout Poland, is currently one of the largest ice cream producers in the country. Information about the entrepreneur's death was also confirmed by Onet.pl.

Marian Koral was one of the brothers behind the success of the Koral brand. In 1968, Jan Koral founded the “Bajka” confectionery shop at Lwowska Street in Nowy Sącz, where Józef and Marian Koral learned the secrets of confectionery. In 1979, Przedsiębiorstwo Produkcji Lodów Koral was established in Limanowa, and its management is located in Nowy Sącz. It is currently the largest ice cream producer in Poland.
In the 1970s, the brothers started their business in Limanowa. Initially, ice cream production was entirely artisanal – each stage was done by hand, using traditional recipes and natural ingredients. In 1992, as the company developed, it invested in modern Italian machines, which allowed it to increase the scale of production.

The Koral brand was established in 1979. In the face of growing competition, especially from abroad, the brothers focused on an innovative approach. They focused on the production of impulse ice cream – inexpensive and easily available, ideal for sale in small local shops.
The strategy turned out to be a success. The company quickly became one of the market leaders, and its products were promoted by famous stage and cinema stars. The company still operates today. The company's headquarters is located in Nowy Sącz, and production plants operate in Limanowa and Rzeszów.

Although the brothers achieved great success, they shunned media attention. Currently, Koral is managed by Józef's children: Izabela, Monika and Michał Koral.
In the latest ranking of the richest Poles by Forbes magazine, they placed 70th. The company's assets are PLN 1.79 billion.
The businessman's funeral will take place on March 11 in Nowy Sącz. Marian Koral's funeral mass will take place on Wednesday at 13 in the Church of St. Ducha in Nowy Sącz. Then at At 3 p.m. the funeral procession will go to the cemetery at ul. Rejtan.
