In the village of Shelayevo, Taishet district, operatives from IK-24 and the local police department, together with a service dog, conducted an operation to seize drugs. This was reported in the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Spaniel Flora unmistakably pointed to a hiding place under the floor of a private house. There they found bags with a “substance of plant origin” and “bottles with a liquid with a pungent odor.”
The examination showed that it was poppy straw weighing more than 33 kilograms and poppy straw extract with a volume of 342 grams. Thanks to the joint work of the operational department staff, the dog handler and Flora’s sensitive nose, the spread of drugs in the area was prevented.
As a dog handler with 20 years of experience, senior warrant officer of the internal service Tatyana Efanova, said, Flora came to her seven years ago as a three-month-old puppy from a nursery. Since then they have been inseparable. The spaniel quickly mastered the search for drugs and now constantly participates in competitions, showing good results.
“Looking at Flora, I am sometimes amazed at how she can change: from a carefree jumping fluffy to a concentrated working professional,” shared Tatyana Efanova.
In their free time, they walk around the outskirts of the village of Novobiryusinsky, and at home Flora loves to play with a soft ball.
