“I spoke to his father, may he be well!”

Gigi Becali (67 years old), the owner of the FCSBclaims that his transfer is no longer being carried out Kevin Ciubotaru (21 years old), left back from Hermannstadt. The two clubs had reached an agreement, but the player refused to wear the shirt of the Romanian champion.
Ciubotaru said after the last match of 2025 that he prioritizes a transfer abroad, but he can also talk with FCSB. It seems that his decision is clear, at least that's what Becali claims.

Gigi Becali stated that he is no longer waiting for the Sibiu defender. He talked to his father and concluded that the move would not be made official.
“I spoke with Ciubotaru's father. He said that we would speak after the match. I understood that the boy spoke and said that he was not coming to FCSB, but that he answered out of respect. After that I didn't call his father either, if he didn't come. Be healthy!”, said Becali, in front of his palace in Aleea Alexandru.
Hermannstadt requested 450,000 euros for Ciubotaru, an amount that Becali was willing to pay. The news will go down well with Mihai Stoica, the one who no longer wanted a footballer in that position, taking into account the solutions that the champion has.
From my point of view, we are covered there. Gigi is the one who decides. If I were to make the decision, I would not look for any player. We are very well covered in all positions.
