Marshal of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty elected chairman of the New Left; The head of the Ministry of Science, Marcin Kulasek, became the party's general secretary – announced the spokesman of the New Left, Łukasz Michnik, at the convention following the election National Congress.


The National Congress of the New Left took place on Sunday, ending the reporting and election campaign that had been ongoing since October. Delegates from all over Poland elected the new leadership of the group.
The group's spokesman announced the results of the internal elections at the convention accompanying the event. The current co-chairman of the New Left, Speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, became the chairman, and the head of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Marcin Kulasek, became the secretary general. The vice-chairmen were: the head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, the secretary of state in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister Katarzyna Kotula, MEP Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus, deputy head of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Karolina Zioło-Pużuk, head of the Left Club Anna Maria Żukowska, deputy prime minister, minister of digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski, deputy head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Wiesław Szczepański, Aneta Złocka and MPs: Tomasz Trela and Dariusz Wieczorek.
