Nicolae Dicaformer Romanian international and coach, analyzed the match on the GSP Live Special show InterLiverpoolscore 0-1, from stage #6 of the Champions League.

The game was decided in the last minutes, after the referee awarded a penalty for Liverpool, converted perfectly by Szoboszlai in the 88th minute. The penalty kick was obtained after Alessandro Bastoni's negligence in the box: he pulled Florian Wirtz's shirt, and Nicolae Dică believes that the Liverpool player fell far too easily.

Nicolae Dică reacted after Inter – Liverpool 0-1: “It's a shame for Inter and Cristi that they lost this game”

“I think that 11m was too easy, even if Bastoni pulls Wirtz by the shirt a little bit. His fall is spectacular and it happens after he lets go. Normally when you shoot him he should fall backwards … if he pulls hard. He fell forward.

Bastoni's gesture is not OK, because the Liverpool player was not in possession, he was not facing the goal. He had his back, the ball had already reached a colleague of Bastoni's and he continued to hold. From my point of view, this penalty was given too easily.

Too bad for Inter and Cristi that they lost this game. It was balanced. The match was going like this 0-0. It was a good point, it helped them in the standings, it kept Liverpool at the back and maybe it was also good for Cristi's morale that he was able to get a point against a good opponent.

There were also these injuries in the first half and he had to change two important players. The second half had only one more moment to make changes. He did them and after he got this goal because of Bastoni's mistake.

Too bad he didn't manage to score at least one point. Deserve. It was balanced, even if Liverpool was the team that seemed to want to win more,” Nicolae Dică said on the GSP Live Special show.
