Volodimir Zelenski announced on Sunday night that Ukraine proposes a partial armistice, to no longer be carried out on the aerial attacks on civil insults for at least 30 days.

According to the Ukrainian president, the cessation of the Easter fire announced by Vladimir Putin on Saturday and will expire at midnight on Sunday was violated by the Russian army until 8 pm more than 2,000 times.

“There have already been 67 Russian attacks against our positions in different directions, with the highest number in the direction of Pokrovsk. There were a total of 1,355 cases of Russian bombardments, of which 713 involved heavy armament. The Russians also used FPV drones 673 times.

Basically, in all the main directions of the front line, Russia did not respect its own promise to cease fire. And almost a whole day was not enough for Russia to respond to our Ukrainian fire proposal – from now on, Easter, and for a period of 30 days, ”Zelenski wrote on the X.

“This form of ceasing fire has been made”

But, emphasizes the Ukrainian president, there was no air raid alert on Sunday: “Therefore, this is a fire cessation format (Sunday) and which is the easiest to prolong.”

Therefore, he continued, Ukraine proposes to cease any attacks with long -range drones and rockets on civil infrastructure for a period of at least 30 days, with the possibility of extension

“If Russia does not agree with such a measure, this will be the proof that it intends to continue to do only those things that destroy human lives and prolong the war,” Zelenski said.

Putin did not prolong the armistice, the Americans said they would have wished that

Russian President Vladimir Putin has not issued an order to extend the Easter armistice in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, quoted by the TASS news agency on Sunday. The cessation of fire expires Sunday at midnight (the same hour in Russia, Ukraine and Romania).

Zelenski made a 30 -day armistice counterpart on Saturday night not 30 hours after Vladimir Putin announced a cessation of unilateral Easter fire.

The US State Department said on Sunday evening that he would greet the extension of the Easter armistice, even though the Kremlin has previously announced that there is no order for an extension.

“We saw the announcement of President Putin about a temporary cease of Easter Fire. We remain employees to obtain a complete and comprehensive armistice,” said a state department spokesman on Sunday in a statement sent to Reuters.

“As we evaluate their seriousness in this case, we greet its expansion beyond Sunday,” he added.
